Once a Day Book Part 6
So this week i actually read once before the scheduled day and so this post might be a lot of me talking about what happened and not that much saying what I think, but I do try to not only talk about the plot I really do guys. So anyways, here's what happened in a nutshell: The gang (Zaphod, Trillian, Arthur, Marvin, and Ford) are in "the guy who was dead for a year because of tax reasons"'s stunt car that he uses in a band that I think he is the manager of or something and the gang was going to be hurled into the sun. Then they found a teleporter and teleported themselves away. But this teleporter didn't have a location set and so the gang (except Marvin who had to stay behind and work the teleporter who I think just might be dead :( ) was teleporter each to a completely random spot in the whole giant universe. And with luck Arthur and Ford were teleported not only on a ship with joggers who run around it and then go into coffins and rest there with a captain who has basically been on a three year bath in a bathtub in the middle of the bridge, but they also were telepoterd back before their own time! So now onto what I think (yeah there's more!) about this part. The whole joggers and weird captain named "Number 1" (which I failed to mention) and another guy named "Number 2" (who I also failed to mention) with another officer on the bridge (okay so I forget a lot!) is a little but random to me, but then again so is most of the book. Now "Number 2" (I'm gonna just call him 2) hates 1 (number 1) and 1 doesn't really see it, or so the book tells you. Now 2 gets mad at 1 because 1 won't let 2 question Arthur and Ford and so 2 goes to the corner and makes faces at 1 through a mirror. I think that 2 is considered to be the guy who takes this stuff seriously and doesn't like 1 because of the way he just sits in his bath a lot and drinks drinks that I can't even name (jynnon tynonna or something). So I guess I'm going to end this here because all in all not that much can be said about this part except what the book says and I don't want to bore you like how I said at the start of this. So until next time...........I think I'm gonna take a bath!

Once a Day Book part 5
So this is going to probably be a short post because not that much stuff happened in the story. But you learned a lot. So here's what went down: Zaphod got piss drunk at the "Restaurant at the End of the Universe" (I think I'll just call it the Restaurant) and Ford met somebody he knew who was really famous. But he was officially "dead for a year" and couldn't (literally couldn't) talk to anybody. You then get to know that when they call it the "Restaurant at the End of the Universe", they don't mean that the universe ends as in length wise, they mean that it ends in existence. So the only way to get there is to go to when the universe ends and eat. Now the cool thing I like about the way you afford a super expensive meal there is to open an account in the bank in the present, then when you time travel to get to the restaurant, your account would have piled up a ton of cash that you can then use to enjoy your meal. Now when the gang of four entered the dining area (remember Zarniwoop was not there when they were "turned into dust" and went through time and space to go to the restaurant for some apparent reason I probably didn't understand), they saw that the whole place was glittery and everybody was wearing these amazing clothes (by everybody I mean all the creatures from around the universe who like eating great food) just sitting at these amazing tables and eating delicious food. Now you might be thinking "why would they want to go to such a place just to eat food". Now at first I thought that it was just the best food in the universe but then I read the rest of the chapter to realize the real reason they were there (even though the food was a pretty big part of their wanting to go to the restaurant). It turns out that at the "Restaurant at the End of the Universe" you get to see the "End of the Universe" take place (logic. learn it sometime)! And that is what they all were waiting for. When I read this I thought that that meant they were going to "end" as well, but I was wrong. Because the restaurant is built on the destroyed remains of a plant, or should I say a soon to be destroyed planet (if you get what I just did there say what you think it is that I did just do there in the comments. That way I know you read the whole thing xD). And around that planet is a force field (I mean come on it's a futuristic themed book, you know there has to be a force field involved in it somewhere now don't you?) that kept it moving like it needed to and protected it from...well...the end of the universe. Well that's all that happened in the short few chapters. Until next time.....I think I'm going to start my bank account now!

Once a day Book part 4
Okay so I know I'm getting this post in late but my Wi-Fi was screwed up and we needed it to get back on and so now that is it I am blogging (no duh!). So I read a lot and here's really what happened: Zaphos went into Zarniwoops office and then the building was taken by people who were looking for Zaphod and they took him to a "Vortex" thing that showed the the whole universe and everything that is everything which is supposed to basically ruin you for life. But Zaphod was not affected by it and met up with Zarniwoop in an old cruise ship and found out that the strange metal thing scraping his sunglasses was the "Spaceship Heart of Gold" all along and that he was actually in an exact replica of the universe but not the actual one and in the actual universe Zaphod would not have been able to take the "Vortex" at all. Now the thing I find a little weird is that right when Zaphod and Zarniwoop went to get Zaphod's jacket from outside the old cruise ship, the "Spaceship Heart of Gold" then grew from the small round metal thing is his pocket to its full size with his friends in it from the start. I mean why in the world would it then turn into full size? Did it just because they knew that is was the heart of gold (well one of them)? Now the funny thing is the part after where they are all "exploded", or so they thought, and appeared in the afterlife with a waiter who was relentless in trying to serve them drinks. They later found out that the place they were in was actually the "Restaurant at the End of the Universe" (hey that's the tittle of the book!). Which is actually the tittle of the book (I just said that!). The thing I love about Douglas Adams is that he can make a normal argument with a waiter a hilarious event. I also like how in the part with the cruise ship, all the passengers are "asleep" and when they wake up they are all just screaming and yelling. While all of that is going on the women who is in charge of the passengers (don't know the right term for that :P) is continuously saying "Please be seated. We are now serving coffee and biscuits." I find that part pretty funny. Also the whole reason that the ship is just landed under a bunch of rubble on a ghost town of a planet is that it is waiting for "lemon-soaked paper napkins" to be delivered and will not leave until they are. And the ship will not be convinced that there are no more for it is also waiting for humanity to once again build up on the ghost world and wait for them to remake lemon-soaked paper napkins. Well that's what I thought of this super funny part of the book. Until I get lemon-soaked paper napkins, see ya!

Once a Day Book part 3
So I thought it would be good to tell you before I started this post that yesterday I saw the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" movie (and let me just say the people in it looked nothing like I thought they would). So in the part I read Zaphod and Marvin had been teleported to a Megadodo Publications, a company building, home to "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". And after eavesdropping on a conversation, Zaphod figured out he was on a planet by the name of "Ursa Minor Beta", where just a few seconds later he had a thought put in his head by the part of his brain that he never listened to. But this time he gave in and listened and the thought just said this: Go see Zarniwoop. Who was the man running the building he was in. Now this is what I just love about Zaphod. It's that no matter where he was or what was happening he always has something to do. Even if he is stranded in a dessert without any contact with civilization he would still have somebody to see or some question to be answered. And as annoying as Marvin can seem (you see he is depressed. Not as in "Oh I'm so depressed" and then silent. The kind of depressed where lets say a person called Joe talks to somebody else named Bob this is how the conversation would go: Joe: "So bob how's life?" Marvin: "*sigh* Don't talk to me about life......you ever see a spec of dust? Well that's as empty as my life is.....".) he still isn't as bad as the elevator in the Megadodo Publications building. When Zaphod and Marvin got in it seemed like it was fine until they asked the elevator to go "up". Simply "up". But the elevator just said this: "How about going down?" and then the conversation went on like this: Zaphod: "No we just want to go up" Elevator: "Well down is very nice too. Ever think of going down?" Zaphod: "Well what so good is down anyways?" Elevator: "Well let's see there's the basement...uh...the boiler room...er...and the storage. Oh yes the I like going down to the storage sometimes" and so on so on. You see it's because the company that made the elevators in that building not only included GPP (Genuine People Personalities), just like all computer like things, they also included something that allows the elevator to see shortly into the future to get to the floor you were on before you even thought of taking it. And it can also see other things like whatever it was seeing and didn't want Zaphod or Marvin to know. Well that's all for this post, until then........yeah that's it.

Once a Day Book part 2
Alright so don't yell at me for being a total idiot but "Life the Universe and Everything" is not the next book in the "Hitchhikers" series. The next book is "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe" and yes I got started on that. It starts off on the star ship Heart of Gold with Zaphod Beeblebrox cursing in his room after having a conversation with the computer who, like all the machines in this series, have actual feelings and are a real pain to take care of. While that is happening Arthur is back in the bridge and is ready to finally man up and demand a cup of tea from the drink machine (whose name I stupidly forgot) instead of the unappealing drink that it handed him last time. After a while the drink machine (don't know the name!) asked the computer to help and the computer shut down in thought. A while later the Vogons, who destroyed earth, attacked them and they were helpless with the computer down. I love this writer because he just jumps right into the story. I mean he does give like a page or two (or three or four or five) about catching up with the last book, but after those like three pages (or four or five or six) he just says "Hey! Here's the story! Let's jump right into it!"

Once a Day Book part 1
Okay so I just started reading "Life the Universe and Everything" which is a sequel to "The Hitchhikers Guild to the Universe" and I love it. I liked the first one because the way Douglas Adams wrote the last book I thought was clever and new (even though the book is old :P). I loved the fact that in almost every situation was just the main character just doing whatever the other main character (like second main character) told him to do and they would somehow find a way out. I also like the way that whenever he mentioned something so small he would sometimes go into huge detail about it and some people think that that would be boring and stupid but when they actually read it they would see how it works. I picked this book first of all because I read "The Hitchhikers Guild to the Galaxy" (no duh) and I didn't know there was a second one to it. My favorite kind of books to read are the books that are complicated but aren't (don't freak out let me explain). Let me explain (told you I would). So it's like if a book's plot is complicated but it's very easy to understand (there I explained it. Happy?). That way it's fun because I understand what's going on and it's like a pretty complicated (plus it makes me feel smart).
